Scindapsus Jade
Description
✦ The Plantry Plant Co. ✦
"The Scindapsus Jade possesses a quiet sophistication that louder plants simply cannot replicate. Those thick, velvety leaves catch the light like polished stone — a most distinguished trailing companion." — Mr. Phileas Plant
The Plant
The Scindapsus pictus 'Jade Satin' is a lush trailing vine admired for its thick, heart-shaped leaves with a deep emerald sheen and subtle velvety texture. Native to the tropical forests of Southeast Asia, it's both refined and remarkably forgiving — thriving in a range of light conditions and tolerating the occasional missed watering without complaint.
As it matures, it develops a graceful cascade of vines perfect for shelves, hanging planters, or trailing along a bookcase. The dark, matte foliage adds a moody botanical elegance that pairs beautifully with lighter-leaved plants.
