Shipping policy
🌿 SHIPPING POLICY Effective Date: 10/21/2025 At The Plantry Plant Co., LLC (“The Plantry Plant Co.,” “we,” “us,” “our”), every order is packed with the same care we give our own greenhouse collection. Because live plants are living, breathing passengers, our shipping process includes safeguards for their health and your peace of mind.
1 – Processing Times Standard processing: 1 – 5 business days. During extreme temperatures, holidays, or sales events: processing may take longer. Orders received after Friday 12 p.m. EST usually ship the following Monday to avoid weekend delays. You’ll receive a tracking number once your label is created.
2 – Shipping Methods & Carriers We ship via USPS, UPS, and FedEx, selecting the most efficient route for your destination and plant type. Available speeds at checkout: Standard (2-5 business days) Expedited (1-3 business days) You’ll see real-time carrier rates at checkout based on weight and distance.
3 – Weather Protection & Heat/Cool Packs Plants can suffer from extreme heat or cold in transit. During weather under 40 °F or over 90 °F, we may pause shipments or recommend a heat/cool pack add-on. If you choose to ship despite a weather hold or decline a heat/cool pack, you assume responsibility for any temperature-related damage. We’ll notify you if your order is held due to weather; you can confirm or cancel for a refund at that time.
4 – Packaging Care Each plant is carefully wrapped, cushioned, and boxed upright to minimize soil shift and leaf damage. Recycled or compostable materials are used whenever possible.
5 – Delivery & Risk of Loss Once a package leaves our facility and is accepted by the carrier, title and risk of loss transfer to you. We are not responsible for delays or damage caused by carriers, customs, or weather events. If tracking shows “delivered” but you can’t find the package, check with neighbors and your local carrier first. We’ll gladly assist with filing a carrier claim, but replacement or refund is not guaranteed.
6 – Local Pickup (Indiana) Free local pickup is available from our greenhouse workspace in [INSERT CITY, IN]. You’ll receive a “Ready for Pickup” email when your order is prepared. Please schedule pickup within 7 days to keep your plants healthy. Bring your confirmation email or order # for verification.
7 – Regional Restrictions Some species cannot legally ship to certain states due to agricultural or invasive-species regulations. Orders placed to restricted areas will be canceled and refunded automatically.
8 – Lost or Damaged Shipments If your plant arrives damaged or dead, contact us within 24 hours of delivery with photos of the packaging and plant to theplantryplantco@gmail.com. We’ll evaluate each case under our Arrive Alive Guarantee (see Refund Policy [LINK]) and may offer a replacement, store credit, or refund at our discretion.
9 – International Shipping We currently ship within the United States only. International shipping may be added in the future once we can ensure proper phytosanitary certification and transit reliability.

🌱 Friendly Tips for Happy Unboxing Bring plants inside promptly after delivery—avoid leaving boxes in heat or cold. Unpack immediately and give them 24–48 hours to acclimate before watering. Minor leaf loss or soil settling is normal “travel fatigue.” The Plantry Plant Co., LLC
