Deleting your Plantry account
This page explains how to delete your account for The Plantry, the plant identification app from The Plantry Plant Co., and exactly what happens to your information when you do.
Deleting your account from inside the app
- Open The Plantry and make sure you are signed in.
- Go to Account.
- Scroll to the bottom and choose Delete account.
- Confirm when asked.
Deletion happens straight away. If anything goes wrong, the app tells you plainly that nothing was removed rather than reporting success — so if you see a confirmation, it is done.
If you cannot get into the app
Email theplantryplantco@gmail.com from the address your account uses, asking for your account to be deleted. We will confirm once it is done.
What is deleted
Everything held against your account is removed:
- your account and sign-in details
- your profile and display name
- every plant photo you have saved
- your garden, journal entries and wishlist
- your friend connections and friend code
- your points, badges and leaderboard position
- the record that lets us send notifications to your devices
What is kept
Nothing that identifies you. Deleting your account removes your data from The Plantry's records.
Data still on your phone
Deleting your account removes what is stored on our side. Anything held only on your own device is removed when you uninstall the app.
Deleting some things without deleting your account
You do not have to delete everything to remove something. Inside the app you can remove an individual plant from My Garden, and delete individual journal entries, at any time — your account and the rest of your garden stay as they are.
