Every proper greenhouse is run by a small, devoted, slightly eccentric staff. Ours is no exception. The files below are maintained by Mr. Phileas Plant, who takes the duty very seriously.
Jon — The Proprietor
Started with a garden patch in Ohio and a few plants he refused to let die; ended up with a sunroom full of propagations, a farmers market table, and all of us. The whole story — how The Plantry began, and why — is worth the read.
Mr. Phileas Plant — Resident Botanist
Part gentleman, part plant (he declines to specify the proportions). Writes every plant's introduction, signs every Dispatch, and holds the company to its founding rule: honesty about what we know — and what we don't.
Winston — Chief Exploration Companion
Head of morale, perimeter patrol, and quality-testing the sunbeams. The founding member of the companionship department, and the subject of the file that started the whole tradition.
Silas — Assistant Companion
File pending. Mr. Phileas has attempted the official portrait twice; the subject napped through both sittings. We remain hopeful.
