Manjula Pothos (Green Form) 4"
Description
✦ The Plantry Plant Co. ✦
"If the Manjula is the artist of the family, this one has set the brushes down for now — all quiet green, the same blood in its veins. Give it bright light and a little patience, and it may yet pick the palette back up." — Mr. Phileas Plant
The Plant
This Manjula Pothos (Epipremnum aureum 'Manjula') was propagated right here at The Plantry from the very same mother plant as our variegated Manjula. The Manjula is a patented variety developed by the University of Florida, prized for wide, heart-shaped leaves and soft, painterly variegation in cream, white, and green.
In full honesty, this propagation came up green. Variegation doesn't always travel through a cutting, and this one carries only the faintest hint of lighter lime sectoring on a leaf or two — not the cream-and-white splashes the Manjula is known for. What it offers instead is genuine lineage and a project: in bright light, new growth may begin to variegate over time. Bought green, it's a patient collector's gamble — and a glossy, easygoing pothos either way.
This specimen has 12 established, glossy leaves and a healthy root system, settled in a 4" cup.
Care at a Glance
☀️ Light: Bright indirect — the brighter the spot, the better the odds of variegation appearing on new growth.
💧 Water: When the top 2" of substrate is dry. Potted in a no-drainage cup, so water sparingly.
🌡️ Humidity: Average household is fine; higher humidity keeps leaves lush.
🪴 Soil: Ships in Fluval Stratum volcanic substrate.
📏 Growth: Trailing vine — easygoing and quick-growing for a pothos.
⚠️ Toxicity: Mildly toxic if ingested.
