The Plant
The Monstera albo (deliciosa 'Albo Variegata') is the plant that started the variegation craze — dramatic white-on-green marbling and half-moon splits, with no two leaves ever quite the same. She's slower to grow than her all-green cousin, and every white patch costs her a little more effort, which is exactly why collectors chase her.
This is a rooted cutting off our own Albo mother plant, already carrying four leaves with variegation ranging from lightly marbled to one leaf splashed nearly half white. Roots are established and visible through the pot — give her a pole as she climbs, and the next leaf will tell just as much of a story as this one did.
Care at a Glance
☀️ Light: Bright indirect — non-negotiable for white leaves. Low light means fewer variegated leaves going forward.
