The Plant
Philodendron 'Florida Beauty Sunrise' is the golden-variegated selection of the Florida hybrid — the same deeply lobed, five-fingered leaves on reddish-brown petioles, but with the variegation running warm. Where the classic Florida Beauty splashes cream and white, the Sunrise lays down butter-yellow and gold, selected and grown on for that warmer, more luminous color.
This one is a rooted cutting in a clear cup of Fluval Stratum: one lobed leaf with an entire finger gone butter-yellow and gold sweeping down the midrib, a second, mostly green leaf carrying finer gold streaking, and another leaf on the way with its petiole already up. Variegation in the Florida group is sectoral — it comes and goes leaf to leaf — so give her the brightest indirect light you have and let the gold keep arriving.
