✦ THE PLANTRY PLANT CO. ✦
"The Florida Green cuts her leaves like a paper artist — each one lobed and fingered, glossy as though freshly waxed. She is proof that 'easy to grow' and 'striking to look at' were never opposites." — Mr. Phileas Plant
The Plant
Philodendron 'Florida Green' is a climbing hybrid prized for its deeply lobed, multi-fingered leaves — that unmistakable oak-leaf silhouette, held on sturdy green petioles and finished in a high-gloss deep green. It's one of the most rewarding philodendrons you can grow: all the character of a collector aroid, with none of the fuss. A fast, forgiving grower that puts on size quickly and climbs with enthusiasm.
These are young, well-rooted starters — each carrying around seven small juvenile leaves and settled into a clear nursery cup of Fluval Stratum. The clear cup is no accident — it lets you see a healthy root system for yourself, the surest sign a plant is ready to grow. Florida Green's signature deep lobing develops with maturity, so half the fun here is watching each new leaf arrive larger and more sculpted than the last. Give it a moss pole as it climbs and it will reward you handsomely. Care is refreshingly uncomplicated — she forgives the odd missed watering and bounces back without sulking.
