$14.00
Description
⚠️
Winston Flagged. Toxic to cats and dogs if chewed or eaten, and irritating to humans too — the leaves carry calcium oxalate crystals that cause immediate mouth and throat irritation. Keep it up and out of reach of pets and little hands. If a pet gets into it, call your vet or the ASPCA Poison Control line (888-426-4435) right away.
✦ The Plantry Plant Co. ✦
"Compact, yes — but do not mistake low for modest. Those broad, gold-splashed leaves sit close and confident, and one has already begun cutting itself a window. A small plant with large ambitions is, in my experience, the best sort." — Mr. Phileas Plant
The Plant
The Epipremnum pinnatum 'Aurea Variegata' is a climbing aroid with glossy green leaves marbled and splashed in gold and cream, and no two leaves marked alike. Given a pole and good light, its leaves grow larger and begin to split and perforate, so the plant changes character as it climbs.
This is a compact, low-growing plant with broad leaves and a little gold marbling, rooted in a clear cup of Fluval Stratum. It is a smaller, more affordable way to begin, with a young climber's worth of growth still ahead of it.
Care at a Glance
☀️ Light: Bright indirect — good light keeps the gold variegation vivid.
💧 Water: When the top inch of substrate is dry. Rooted in a no-drainage cup, so water sparingly.
🌡️ Humidity: Appreciates 50%+ but adapts to average household air.
🪴 Soil: Established in Fluval Stratum.
📏 Growth: Climbing vine — give it a pole and the leaves grow larger and more split.
⚠️ Toxicity: Toxic if ingested — keep away from pets and children.
